Hello! I am a DONA International-trained birth and postpartum doula, passionate about assisting families during one of the most transformative periods of their lives, and am currently working to complete certification through DONA International.
I myself am a mother of two. And while I have always been interested in pregnancy, birth, and parenthood, I became truly invested after becoming a mother for the first time. After a less-than-ideal birth and postpartum experience, I saw firsthand how much of a need there is for doula care. I quit my job as a pediatric audiologist at a children’s hospital after the birth of my first child and dove into the pursuit of supporting new families. Later, I unfortunately experienced the loss of two pregnancies before finally conceiving and giving birth to our second living child with an incredibly healing birth and postpartum experience.
This variety of my own experiences has provided me a wealth of insight, understanding, and empathy to help me walk alongside families on their own unique journey. What began for me as an initial interest in birth and the postpartum experience has blossomed into a passion in helping others navigate this life-changing experience.
My goal is to walk with parents as they learn to integrate their new baby into their family and to help everyone return to wellness—through processing, healing, and navigating their unique birth/postpartum experience. I hope to help you transition into your new family, whether this is your first baby or your fifth baby—with each new child, a new family is born!
